One of the four pathways
Giving
Give to upkeep, custodians, communities, and ongoing work.
To give is to remember that nothing was ever ours alone.
Sādhya — साध्य — literally means that which is to be accomplished, the goal of practice. In the context of Mandala, sādhya is the goal that requires resource: the temple roof that must be tended, the langar that must be cooked, the custodian family that must be supported, the manuscript that must be preserved. Sādhya is the giving that makes the sacred sustainable.
Every tradition has its language of giving. Dāna in the dharmic world. Zakāt and ṣadaqah in Islam. Tzedakah in Judaism. Tithing and alms across the Christian lineages. Different rules, different proportions — the same recognition that what is sacred lives by being supported.
Mandala does not take a commission on any giving. When you give to a sacred place through its page, the gift flows directly to the place. We are not a payment processor; we are a directory. The transaction belongs to you and the custodians.
Browse the offerings below. Each is tied to a specific sacred place, with a specific purpose: a festival, a daily ritual, a building project, general upkeep. Some have suggested amounts; many welcome any amount. Tax-deductibility, where applicable, is noted on the offering itself.
When you choose to give, you will be guided to the place's own giving channel. If you have questions or would prefer to give in another way, you may always reach out to the custodians directly.
